I decided I wanted to try out the poetry subtraction style of Austin Kleon, author of Newspaper Blackout. Since his other book is called Steal Like an Artist, I’m hoping he won’t mind my trespassing. I really loved making this, somehow it made all the difference in conquering the writer’s block of the proverbial blank page; the words were already there, I just had to find them.
So the article that I “redacted” is “Motorola’s Sanjay Jha Would Net $66M on Google Deal” from the Business section of India West, September 24, 2011. I have no idea what the article was about because I didn’t read it, but my edit is about the pressure put on politicians to make only decisions that benefit corporate agendas. Seems I’ve been watching too many documentaries for my finance course…
